Cornerstone Records Management Announces the Acquisition of Secure Document Shredding
Cornerstone Records Management, LLC announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Secure Document Shredding, Inc. based in Pomona, NY.
Columbia, MD – March 31, 2011 – Cornerstone Records Management, LLC announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the assets of Pomona, NY based Secure Document Shredding, Inc. Providing secured document destruction services, Secure Document Shredding services the New York Metro market.
“Secure Document Shredding allows us to continue to expand the footprint of our document destruction operations in the New York metro area,” said Steven Sisney, President and CEO of Cornerstone. “The acquisition of Secure Document Shredding is similar in many respects to the acquisition we made last week of Sun Valley, CA based California Document Shredding. In both cases we are acquiring businesses that are NAID certified, and when combined with our existing business, will result in improved service for our customers, increased route densities for our trucks, lower operating costs for our fleet, and the generation of larger volumes of recycled materials.”

Secured Document Shredding will become part of Cornerstone’s New York Metro region which is headquartered in Hackensack, NJ.
The acquisition of Secure Document Shredding represents the thirteenth acquisition completed by Cornerstone since June 2008, and reflects Cornerstone’s philosophy of growing both organically and through acquisition.
Cornerstone is continuing to focus on rapidly growing its business in the Southern California, Denver, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic markets, and is evaluating entering other attractive growth markets.
